Get Golf Ready Workshops
Get Ready To Play Golf!
Get Golf Ready is a 5-week course program designed to teach everything you will need to play golf in just a few lessons. PGA and LPGA Professionals will guide you through learning the basics and on-course experiences in a fun setting.
Each session will focus on the various golf skills you will use while playing. In addition to learning the basics, you will be guided into the golf course to put your skills into action in a casual, friendly setting.
Ages 18 and Up
Class Workshops: 5:00 - 7:30 p.m.
All participants are strongly encouraged to attend all 5 sessions and arrive at least 15 minutes prior to each session to ensure prompt start time at 5:30 p.m.
Lead PGA Instructor: Malcolm "Butch" Rhodes
Malcolm "Butch" Rhodes is a class "A" PGA member since 1990, and is the first African American PGA member born in Michigan. Throughout his 30 year career, he had worked with golfers of all skill levels, including PGA, LPGA, and Senior Tour players. He's also had instructed NBA and NFL Hall of Fame athletes and celebrities. His biggest reputation has come from his contribution to player development. He has always been willing to share his knowledge and expertise, and to continue to be a valuable asset to the national, state, and local golf communities.
Additional PGA and LPGA professional instructors will also be present at each class. A total of 4 students per instructor during each class setting.
What You Need to Bring:
Just YOU! All materials, manuals and equipment will be provided for each participant
Weekly Topics:
Week 1: Putting, Strategy, Properly fit equipment
Week 2: Chipping Clubs‐variety, pitching “controls”
Week 3: Trouble shots, impact
Week 4: Techniques for Distance
Week 5: Scoring smarts / course management
What if I miss a class session?
Make-up sessions are available on the following dates and time window below. Please inform the instructor if you are unable to attend a class.
Make up days Saturday mornings at 11:00 a.m.
Are Tickets Refundable?
No, however, you can make-up any class session missed on the make-up days available.
